PU Professor declared No 1 biological scientist in Pakistan

Lahore, Prof Dr Abdul Rauf Shakoori of School of Biological Sciences at Punjab University has been declared as Number 1 biological scientist in the country by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST). Every year PCST assesses research work of all the scientists across the country and Dr AR Shakoor has got this distinction by considering number 1 scientist among biological scientists with the score of 1026.86. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has acknowledged him on earning this great victory.

Moreover, Punjab University College of Art & Design (CAD) is organizing Degree Show of BFA final year on today from 10am to 5pm at its premises.

Furthermore, the university has changed the name of Punjab University Department of Library and Information Sciences into “Department of Information Management”. Chairperson Department of Information Management (DIM) Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen explained the reason for changing name in present era the information and knowledge has been twisted, recorded, conserved and used as a physical book and profession became known as librarianship and now information can be accessed easier on laptop, tablet and mobile phones.
