Government of Punjab Outreached to Revive the Ancient Art of Pakistan

A special effort was made by the Chief Minister of Punjab, to bring back the richly influenced ancient art of Kashigiri. For the revival of the diminishing art of Blue Pottery and to pass-on this gift to the new generation, the Institute of Blue Pottery, Multan is offering innovative vocational training programs through the Blue Pottery Development Project. The admissions are open now. The capital expenditure of this project was 87.321 Million and the revenue was 124.625 Million.

Kashigiri and Ceramics Program Methodology:

40 individuals will be trained as part of the program over a 10-month period, with each session lasting six months. The institute will introduce two training programs. One is for Kashigiri and the other is for Ceramics New Design. New technologies and methods for making blue pottery will be introduced in the trainings. The project will appoint a skilled and experienced trainer to assist with the new design and development. After completing the course, the participants will be given assistance in securing jobs with ceramic leading companies or in starting their own home-based business. This training program represents the first organized and thorough teaching method for blue pottery in Pakistan.

• To improve the Quality of Pottery Products and maintain a better price for those products.

• Pass-on this gift to the new generation.

• Create new molds and models of Kashigiri Designs.

• Art & Design specialization in Kashigiri

• Calligraphy 

Eligibility Criteria:

• Minimum Qualification is Matric.

• Maximum age for morning shift is 25 years & for second shift is 45 years.

• 20 Marks Extra for Hafiz-e-Quran
