According to the Punjab government notification, schools in all districts except Lahore and Multan are reopening starting from 19th November 2024, with a delayed start time of 08:45 AM to lessen the effects of morning smog. Mandatory Safety Measures 

These key safety protocols include the mandatory use of masks for students, teachers and school staff during school hours. School administrations have been tasked to make sure the strict compliance with this rule otherwise strict actions will be taken by the government authorities. 

To further reduce health risks, the government has temporarily suspended outdoor sports and extracurricular activities until further notice. Additionally, difference in break times based on class levels will be implemented to avoid crowd congestion around schools and maintain physical distancing during recess.

Senior Minister of Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb highlighted the tough decisions that were made to balance public health and educational needs.
