Islamabad, Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad has extended the last date for submission of admission forms for spring admissions from Matric to MA/MSc level exams till March 15, 2013 with the charges of late fee.
The admission forms can be submitted with Rs.100 as late fee for Matric class, Rs.200 for FA and BA programs and Rs.500 for postgraduate programs.
The candidates can take admission forms / prospectuses from the sale-points of University’s main campus in Sector H-8, Islamabad and Regional Campuses and Coordinating Offices located all over the country.
Computerized admission forms have been sent by post to all the continuing students who are registered in different disciplines from Matric to MA/M.Sc programs all over the country. The forms are also available on AIOU website www.aiou.edu.pk.
The admission forms and fee can be submitted in the branches of Bank Al-Falah, Habib Bank Ltd, First Women Bank and Allied Bank and in the nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank. AIOU has established sale points for admission forms in Rawalpindi and Attock districts.
The University with its main campus at Islamabad and huge network of regional centers spread all over the country is serving its custom all over Pakistan and in the Middle East. AIOU is a Distance Education institution, which provides multi-disciplinary education from basic to doctoral level programs.
The university has established 36 regional campuses and centers in several parts of the country to coordinate and facilitate decentralized system of education of the university. The regional directors keep a schedule of qualified teachers and experts in each field of study in their area and enlist them as the university’s part-time tutors. Each group of students is assigned to a tutor for guidance.
AIOU already has 36 to 40 campuses all over the country, the number of these campuses will be increased to 39 within this year, the VC added. He appreciated the gesture of some public representatives and well-to-do people who had offered land to the university free of cost for building new campuses and study centers in various regions.
