UHS MBBS & BDS Admissions Eligibility Criteria
To apply for UHS MBBS and BDS program, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as per according to the rules and regulations of University of Health Sciences Lahore:
- MDCAT Exam Requirement:
- MBBS candidates must have secured at least 55% (110/ 200) in the MDCAT 2024.
- BDS candidates should have secured a minimum score of 50% (100/ 200) in the MDCAT 2024.
- For foreign candidates and Overseas Pakistanis applying on reserved seats, SAT-II scores or equivalent (MCAT/ UCAT) are also acceptable with a minimum of 550 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/ Mathematics, or 50% scores in relevant subjects.
- Candidates can also use their MDCAT 2023 scores if they have taken both exams.
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in Pre-Medical or an equivalent qualification recognized in Pakistan. A minimum of 60% marks is required, and the candidate must have passed Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
- Domicile Requirement: A domicile certificate from any district of Punjab is mandatory for all applicants.
- Quota Seats Eligibility: Candidates applying under specific quotas must fulfill additional eligibility criteria outlined in the UHS Prospectus.
UHS Merit Calculation Formula
UHS will calculate the student’s merit for admissions based on special UHS merit aggregate formula. Following is the weightage of this UHS merit criteria.
- Matriculation/ SSC or Equivalent: 10%
- FSc/ HSSC Pre-Medical or Equivalent: 40%
- MDCAT Test Score: 50%
How to Apply for UHS MBBS and BDS Admissions 2024-2025
Follow these steps to successfully apply for UHS admission 2025 to MBBS and BDS programs:
- Before applying, thoroughly read the Prospectus and the Government of Punjab's Admission Policy for the 2024-25 session, available on the UHS website at (http://www.uhs.edu.pk).
- Use the designated online portals for your desired program (MBBS or BDS):
- For MBBS: Medical students will apply from this UHS MBBS admissions portal.
- For BDS: All students interested in dental programs can apply though this UHS BDS admission portal.
- Register by entering your full name, Father/ Guardian’s name, Email ID, CNIC/ Passport/CRC number and creating a password.
- After logging in, choose the seat category or categories for which you are eligible.
- Enter your personal information, such as your name, domicile, contact details, address, nationality, gender, and date of birth.
- Provide details of your educational qualifications, including your SSC and HSSC marks, year of passing, and subjects.
- Enter your MDCAT or any other relevant test scores required for admission.
- Choose all the colleges you are interested in, ranking them in order of preference from the dropdown menu. Ensure you select all options based on your seat category.
- Upload clear and legible scanned copies of all necessary documents. Each file should not exceed 1 MB in size.
- Review and acknowledge the Undertaking before submitting your application.
- Generate a fee challan for the non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 2000/-. Deposit this fee at any branch of the Bank of Punjab (BOP) or via the 1Bill service. Upload the receipt of the paid challan.
- Download and print a copy of your application. Review all details carefully before submitting. Once confirmed, submit the online application. A confirmation will be sent to your email.
- You can make changes to your application until the submission deadline. No modifications or changes will be allowed after the UHS admission deadline.
Important Information for Applicants
- All applications must be submitted exclusively through the designated online portals for MBBS and BDS program. Candidates are responsible for ensuring the completion of their online applications, including the submission of all required documents. Incomplete applications will be rejected, and no hard copies will be accepted.
- Candidates submitting forged or fabricated documents will face immediate cancellation of their application and disciplinary actions as per UHS regulations.
- Selected candidates must download their fee challans from the portal and pay the required fees through the Bank of Punjab (BOP) within the specified timeline. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of admission.
- Any vacant seats due to non-joining will be filled through the upgradation process based on merit and preferences. Candidates must report to their newly assigned college after upgradation, and their fees will be transferred accordingly.
- Applicants opting for Narowal Medical College must submit an undertaking confirming that their admission is contingent on the approval of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC). If the college is not approved, candidates will not have any claim to the admission.
