A crucial update for the candidates of PMS in Pakistan! The Punjab Public Service Commission has officially released the schedule for the second phase of Provincial Management Service PMS exams. PMS Second Phase Exams Key Points
Following are some important facts about the second phase of PMS exams:
- Compulsory Subject Exams: will start from 18th January 2025 and last till 20th January 2025
- Optional Subject Exams: will begin from 25th January 2025 and will end on 3rd February 2025
- These written exams will be conducted in 7 divisions including Lahore and with more than 21 thousand candidates competing for the 67 PMS posts.
Eligibility for the PMS Second Phase
Only candidates who pass the General Knowledge MCQs paper/ screening test in the first phase are eligible to appear in the second phase of PMS exams 2024. The GK paper was previously held on 15th December 2024 as part of Phase-I, served as a screening test.
Background of PMS Exams
It was already decided that the PPSC Combined Competitive Examination (PMS 2024) will be conducted in two phases:
Phase-I:
The PMS exams phase 1 was held on 15th December 2024 on Sunday. This first phase of PMS exams consisted of 100 MCQs based General Knowledge paper and it served as a screening phase of candidates for the next stage.
Phase-II:
Now the 2024 PMS exams phase 2 will be held starting from 18th January 2025 and it includes written exams for compulsory and optional subjects and after these written exams, a psychological test and an interview will also be conducted from the candidates.
Decision of Two-Phase PMS Exams
The decision to conduct the PMS exams in two phases was made during a PPSC full commission meeting chaired by Retired Lt-Gen Abdul Aziz, the PPSC Chairman. The meeting was attended by PPSC Secretary Afzal Ahmed and other members of commission. In this meeting all 2 phases of the PMS 2024 exams was proposed and accepted by all the members of the meeting.
