Dr. Naveed, the Director General of Colleges, announced that the cut-off marks have been reduced from 20 to 50 marks, depending on the respective college. Latest Admission List and Expanded Capacity
Dr. Naveed confirmed that the latest admission list, reflecting these changes, has already been published on 23rd August 2024. To further accommodate the influx of interested students, some government colleges in Sindh have expanded their admission capacity, ensuring that more students can secure a place in their desired programs.
Establishment of Complaint Centres
To handle the high number of complaints related to the admission process, the Sindh government has set up complaint centers at six key colleges. These centers are located at DJ Science College, Government College for Boys Nazimabad, Government Degree Boys College Gulistan-e-Johar, Government Girls College Liaquatabad, Sir Syed College, and Khurshid Girls College. Massive Number of Applications
Dr. Naveed revealed that a total of 169,890 students applied through the admission portal for various groups, including Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, Commerce, Humanities, Home Economics, and Computer Science. Out of these, 167,309 students successfully secured admission. Additionally, out of 114,000 students who applied specifically for college admissions, over 98,000 were granted admission.
