Sahiwal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was founded in 2012. The preceding agencies of the BISE Sahiwal are the government of Punjab and the Higher education department. Being an autonomous examination board the BISE Sahiwal does not receive any grant from the government and private organizations and institutions and manages all the expenses from the examination fees. To control and deal with the examination matters the board has a Chairman, Secretary Controller of Examinations, and several other staff members.
