• Q: What is meant by BDS?
  Ans: BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental Surgery. BDS is a five year degree program. The students study the course in the first four years while they perform training in the fifth year. The one who has the degree of BDS is called a dentist.
• Q: What is the aggregate calculator for getting admission in BDS?
  Ans: The aggregate calculator for getting admission in BDS is given below: Weightage of matriculation = 10% Weightage of HSSC (pre medical) or equivalent examination = 40% Weightage of MDCAT = 50%
• Q: Is MDCAT compulsory for getting admission in BDS?
  Ans: Yes, MDCAT is compulsory for getting admission in BDS. MDCAT is an entry test for admission in MBBS and BDS. This test is conducted by PMC (Pakistan Medical Commission) throughout the Pakistan. For getting admission in any private or public medical and dental colleges, the student must have to pass this test with minimum 65% marks.
• Q: What are the eligibility criteria for admission in BDS?
  Ans: For getting admission in BDS, the student must have to fulfill the following requirements: Minimum 65% marks in HSSC (pre medical) or equivalent examination are required. The student must have to pass the admission test (MDCAT) with minimum 65% marks (137/210) conducted by Pakistan Medical Commission.
