USA Scholarships for Pakistani Students

Benefits

Application fee is not required at the time of submitting application.

Tuition fees will be covered by the scholarship.

University health club will offer free gym membership to the students.

Health insurance will be covered.

Those who are interested in teaching jobs will be facilitated through PREP program instead of working as teaching assistants. 

Faculty mentors for the accepted students will be available and 150 will participate in this program with their labs. Students can join labs on rotation during their program to learn various skills of seven domains of Biology.

Academically students will be assisted to publish 5.32 papers with mentors during 5 years PhD program.

Eligibility

Candidate’s age must be between 18-25,

He has understanding of English and good Speaking skills,

Fully committed to the fellowship and must attend all the sessions according to his time zone as online sessions for Asia and US will be arranged approximately for two hours in the morning and evening time respectively.  All the virtual sessions will be held on the weekends.

Eligibility

TOFEL is required as English Proficiency Evidence. However, applicants from non-English speaking countries may also apply for Exemption from TOFEL with an English proficiency certificate from university indicating that their mode of education is English. 

Applicants have to submit two applications separately; one for Knight-Hennessy Scholarship and the other for Stanford University degree program separately. 

Applicant must have to secure admission in the Stanford university to be eligible for the KHS Program. 

Acceptance criteria does not require any high grades, scores or achievements. Applicants are evaluated based on the characteristics such as thinkers who can solve problems, have intellectual curiosity for new experiences and knowledge, purposeful leadership and civic mindset.

Be sophomores or juniors at The Ohio State University at the time of application.

Plan to travel by August 31st of the following calendar year.

Have completed a minimum of two years (three semesters) of OSU world language study or its equivalent prior to the study abroad experience.

Demonstrate a serious interest in, commitment to, and involvement in business, commerce, or industry.

Study at Ohio State for at least one semester after the award trip completion.

Course description

Join an internationally-recognised centre for pioneering research into genetics with specific expertise in patterns of human inheritance, identification of genetic determinants of human diseases, cancer genetics, circadian rhythms and microbial pathogenesis.

Our renowned research includes the discovery by Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys of the technique of DNA fingerprinting and, more recently, for the identification of the bones of Richard III. We are proud of our cross-organism approach, which emphasises the fundamental importance of genetics as a common language for understanding the biology of organisms as diverse as bacteriophages, bacteria, yeast, fruit flies, insects, plants and humans.
