PMC National MDCAT Schedule 2020
In 2020, the Pakistan Medical Commission, PMC took a charge to conduct the medical and dental colleges admission test, MDCAT from across the country. Once after completing the registration process for MDCAT, PMC had gone through a delay in the examination schedule because of the several ambiguities regarding the syllabus of the MDCAT test. However, once arranging the syllabus PMC announced the test schedule. 125,000 candidates were registered for the national MDCAT 2020 session.
The normal test was conducted on November 29th, 2020 in which the candidates from across Pakistan appeared. However, it has been seen that several registered candidates tested positive for the Covid-19. In order to facilitate those candidates and to save their academic year, the PMC introduced a special exam. However, a special exam was conducted on December 13th, 2020.
Petitions Against PMS
When PMC conducted the normal test, the petition against the second entrance exam was submitted to the Sindh High Court. The perdition made a charge on PMC that to conduct the double entrance exam is violence. However, in its defense, PMC said that the decision was taken under the unpredicted situation of Covid-19 and to facilitate the candidates affected with the virus. However, the Sindh High Court after reviewing the whole of the situation declared that to conduct the double entrance exam is not against any rules of the PMC. Once after conducting the entrance exam another petition was submitted to Sindh High Court against PMC which revealed that the asked questions in the exams were out of the syllabus.
Sindh High Court Decision
In order to bring satisfaction to the examination system, the Sindh High Court issued a notice to the PMC to answer all the queries listed in the petition and the PMC will answer the questions on December 16th, 2020. However, the final decision has not been taken by the Sindh High Court and PMC is going to announce the result. On the day of the hearing, the final decision would be declared. The petitioners said that the issuance of the result and the merit list before the hearing of the Sindh High Court will not be considered valid. However, for the final hearing from the Sindh High Court and the final results students and all other concerned persons have to wait until December 16th, 2020.
