MBBS Admission Criteria 2021

In order to be eligible for the MBBS study program students are not only required to pass HSSC or the intermediate level of education. But, at the same time, students are also required to pass an entrance exam, Medical and Dental College Admission Test, MDCAT that is conducted by the Pakistan medical Commission, PMC. Here we would like to share general information with the students that before 2020 MDCAT was conducted by the University of Health Sciences, UHS Lahore but from 2020 onward the responsibility is taken by the PMC. The following is the general eligibility criteria to be eligible for MBBS admissions in Pakistan 2021:

HSSC/Intermediate Marks: 65%

MDCAT or SAT Marks: 60%

Required Documents For MBBS Admission    

The following are documents required to apply for MBBS admissions application 2021 in the medical colleges in Pakistan:

• Matriculation or equivalent certificate

• FSC pre-medical or equivalent certificate  

• Domicile and CNIC of candidates 

• Photographs of candidates 

Note: At the time of admission you may require to show some other additional documents asked from your selected institutes.

How To Calculate The MBBS Merit Formula? 

Almost all the medical colleges and universities calculate the MBBS merit under the below-given formula: 

• 50% marks of the intermediate class 

• 50% marks of the entrance exam

MBBS Admission Cycle 2021

Almost all the medical institutes in Pakistan including private medical institutes in Pakistan and public medical institutes in Pakistan offer MBBS admissions annually. The following is the general schedule and cycle of admission:

• First of all, students are asked to apply for the MDCAT registration 2021. 

• Once after getting registered students are called to appear for MDCAT or other entrance exams. 

• It takes almost a week or a couple of weeks to publish entrance exam result or MBBS merit list. 

• Students who come under the prescribed merit formula are eligible to get enrolled for the MBBS program in Pakistan.
