Is it Life...?

In our busy life we often felt the feelings of sadness, actually this is not only a feeling but we may say. That it’s the consequence of some tragedy. Through many literary books we learn a lot about tragedy. It creates when we love our hopes. It’s a disaster and broadly speaking it’s a cry of terror or complaint, rage or anguish which comes to those who represent in extreme form those flaws and short comings which are universal in a lesser form.

In American history tragedy has a wider significance. In our day-to-day life we pass through many tragic incidents. In Oedipus Rex by Sophocles, tragic hero suffers because of his own weakness, in Dr Faustus by Christopher Marlowe, Mephistophlis suffers because of his lust for power, Adam and Eve in Paradise lost are expelled from paradise on the account of their own mistake, Lord of the flies by William Golding also proves that man suffers because of their own weaknesses, their lust, greed, pride, prejudice, violence, selfishness may cause of the tragic flaw. Heart of Darkness by Conrad clearly proves that man be a savage to solve his problems and can adopt evil way for the fulfillment of his desires instead of knowing that this evil way will lead him towards defeat or tragedy.

It’s usually said that tragedy can be GOD, Fate, Chance, or something nameless. But if we carefully observe then it would be clear that it’s only because of the weaknesses of a character.

This view seems authentic to a large extent. In short God has given us two ways of living a life , if we follow the right way then we will be the success and if we will choose the wrong way then we will definitely met the tragic end.
