The coronavirus pandemic which started from China has traveled to the world and spread across the world affecting almost all the countries. What’s left behind is a trail of death and financial crisis globally. European, US, China, India, or African countries, every country affected by coronavirus induced-lockdowns which directly and indirectly have affected the economic conditions of every country.
Some countries prudently fought against this deadly virus so perfectly while some struggled to cope up with this global pandemic that started in China in December 2019 from Wuhan city.
So far, countries with a very low population have won the battle against the coronavirus outbreak are predominantly small ones.
At least 9 countries of the world have successfully superintended COVID-19 so far. These countries are:
1. NEW ZEALAND
The first coronavirus case of New Zealand was reported on February 28, 2020. New Zealand enforced strictest coronavirus lockdowns in the world on the 25th of March. In early April in New Zealand, the pandemic peaked with 89 new cases recorded per day. And a total of 929 active cases.
The country did not report any new corona case and any active cases by 8th June 2020. On May 22 2020 New Zealand reported the last case in the country. Overall, New Zealand had 1,154 confirmed and 350 probable, and a total of 1,504 cases in New zealand total of 22 people have died from the coronavirus.
2. TANZANIA
The country was declared "coronavirus-free" by Tanzania's President John Magufuli. On March 16 Tanzania had received its first coronavirus case. The last day of Coronavirus free Tanzania was 29 April when no new case was reported nor was any COVID-19 Affected person left. There were a total of 509 active cases of the corona. Total of 21 deaths in the East African country.
By the end of May-end Tanzania's President, John Magufuli said that " Only four patients were under treatment ".
3. ICELAND
Ice Land is a small island with a population of 360,000. The first coronavirus case was reported on February 28 in Iceland. On January 31st, 2020 the health-care system of Icelandic started testing people. They started testing people even a month before the first official case was detected. Iceland had reported 10 deaths and approximately 1,800 coronavirus cases.There have been only three new cases so far in the going month. Now, Iceland is going to open its airports to tourism.
4. MONTENEGRO
One of Europe's smallest countries with a population of a touch over 6 lakh, the country has not reported any new case of coronavirus AFTER Commonwealth Day. The country reported 324 coronavirus cases and nine deaths in 68 days.The first coronavirus case was confirmed on St Patrick's Day
5. FIJI
Fiji declared itself coronavirus-free on June 5. In the mid of March, the small island country reported its first COVID-19 cases. Fiji has a population of 930,000. A total of 18 people were infected in the pacific island nation from the fatal virus. All of the infected people recovered from it. No death was reported from COVID infection in Fiji. The country has 1oo percent recovery.
6. SEYCHELLES
Life in Seychelles began returning to normal in early with just 11 confirmed cases in May 2020, when Seychelles reported no new positive COVID-19 case. The first confirmed case of coronavirus was reported on March 14, 2020, in Seychelles. 11 confirmed cases were reported By April 6.
On April 8 Seychelles imposed lockdown in the country by banning all movement and closing non-essential services aside from grocery shopping. The country was declared free of COVID-19 on May 18 by the Seychelles government.
7. PAPUA NEW GUINEA
On May 4 The Pacific nation was declared free of the coronavirus. It had a total of 24 cases of Covid-19 with no deaths in the country from the virus. Papua New Guinea confirmed to have its first virus patient on 20 March 2020. All active cases were recovered on 4th May,
8. VATICAN CITY
On March 5, the blessed city revealed its first coronavirus case. On June 6, Vatican City announced itself coronavirus free. It revealed the last affirmed instance of COVID-19 on May 16. By and large, Vatican City detailed 17 coronavirus cases and one demise.
9. MAURITIUS
As of May 17, no new cases have been recorded in Mauritius according to the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA). It is 20 consecutive days when no new case was reported. 332 confirmed cases of coronavirus were reported and 322 were recovered from them and 10 died due to fatal virus in the island nation.
