JOB OPPORTUNITY

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Technical Advisor (MP-I scale) on a contract basis. This role is a significant opportunity to contribute to Pakistan’s maritime sector.

Position Details

  • Title: Technical Advisor
  • Scale: MP-I
  • Contract Basis: Initial tenure of three (03) years, extendable by up to two (02) additional years on an annual basis, subject to satisfactory performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Ports/Shipping/Naval Sciences/Maritime Sciences/Maritime Business & Management from a globally recognized university or the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, with a minimum of fourteen (14) years of professional experience; or
  • Master's degree in relevant subjects with at least eighteen (18) years of experience in the relevant field.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age limit is 62 years (as of the closing date for application submission).

Compensation & Contract Termination

  • Pay Package: The Technical Advisor will receive a salary package according to the MP-1 Scale, in line with the Management Position Scale Policy.
  • Termination: The contract may be terminated by either party with one month's notice or payment of one month's basic pay in lieu of notice.

  3. NOCs for Government Employees: Applicants currently employed by Government/Semi-Government Departments or Autonomous Bodies must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent organization.

  4. Interview: Only eligible applicants will be invited for an interview. The selection process will consider the eligibility and criteria outlined in the MP Scale Policy-2020, available on the Ministry’s website.

  5. Important Notes:

    • Applications not meeting the required criteria or those received after the due date will not be considered.
    • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
