JOB OPPORTUNITY

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Government of Pakistan is seeking a qualified, energetic, and motivated professional for the post of Chairman, Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Karachi. This position is crucial for implementing the organization's mandate as laid down in the KPT Act, 1886.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree from an HEC recognized university in one of the following fields:
    • Management
    • Administrative Sciences
    • Social Sciences
    • Natural Sciences
    • Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • MBA/MPA

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 9 years of post-qualification experience at an executive level in administration, management, or project development in a reputed public or private organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior management position.
  • Experience in port management is preferred.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age limit: 62 years as of the closing date of application submission.

Remuneration and Facilities:

  • Salary equivalent to Management Pay Scale.
  • Other facilities as per provisions of the KPT Act, 1886.

Contract Duration:

  • As per the provisions of the KPT Act, 1886.

Nationality:

  • Pakistani.

Job Description:

The Chairman will perform duties and functions as assigned under the KPT Act, 1886.

  • Applicants currently employed in Government, semi-Government departments, or autonomous bodies should apply through the proper channel.
  • Candidature will be assessed in accordance with the KPT Act, 1886, SOE Act, 2023, and Federal Government policies regarding the appointment of Chief Executives in key public sector organizations.
