Lahore: On Thursday, University of the Punjab (PU) and King Edward Medical University (KEMU) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together in different academic fields and promote mutual relations to serve humanity.
The vice chancellor of University of the Punjab Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasar, Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University Prof Dr Qazi Muhammad Saeed, PU Dean Faculty of Health Sciences Prof Dr Syed Muhammad Awais as well as other was also present in MoU signing ceremony.

While speaking at MoU signing ceremony, Dr Awais said as PU aimed to establish medical college, KEMU will assist University of the Punjab in faculty development, syllabus as well as academic programmes development.
He furthermore added that both the educational institutes will equally start the research projects. He said King Edward Medical University was an affiliated college of University of the Punjab till 2006 and the two educational institutes had a remarkable history of mutual relations.
Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said University of the Punjab will provide its facilities to KEMU, including state-of-the-art laboratories for research.

Dr Qazi Muhammad Saeed said that Punjab University and KEMU will jointly serve humanity via collaboration in medical sciences field.
