Prime Minister’s Major Initiative! The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif has recently announced that the Pakistani government will send a batch of 1,000 Pakistani students to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in China for advanced training in agriculture. Fully Funded Training Program
The Prime Minister assured that the Pakistani government would cover all expenses for the students’ agriculture training in China. He directed the Ambassador of Pakistan to China and other relevant officials to finalize this arrangement in consultation with Chinese authorities. This agriculture training program announcement was made through a press release from the PM Office Media Wing. This initiative represents a significant step towards modernizing Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
Invitation to Northwest A&F University
In addition to the training program, PM Shehbaz Sharif also extended an invitation to the North West Agriculture and Forestry University to establish a campus in Pakistan too. He promised full government support to facilitate this initiative and instructed the ambassador and other officials to accelerate the establishment of a mechanism to implement these plans.
Collaborative Agricultural Research
During his visit to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base, the PM Shehbaz Sharif toured various sections of the facility, including the Pakistani Pavilion showcasing various national products. He also visited the modern plant production factory where he was presented a demonstration of vertical method of agriculture. He was accompanied by Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Attaulllah Tarar, Dr. Musadik Malik, and Rana Tanveer Hussain. The Prime Minister received a briefing on the collaborative agricultural research at the base, which involves 26 countries, with Pakistan being a pioneer partner. He was informed about the contributions of Pakistani scientists and universities in these research efforts.

The PM Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized that Pakistan, as an agricultural country, is eager to adopt innovations to increase yield per acre. He stated that enhancing agricultural productivity and processing to boost exports is a top priority for his government.
