Karachi, The University of Karachi (KU) on Tuesday has announced the result of MA (Previous) Regular Annual Examination 2011.
In MA Economics four candidates were registered, three appeared in the exam and none passed it, making the pass percentage zero.
In MA Islamic Studies 11 candidates were registered, all of them appeared in the exam and nine passed it, making the pass percentage 81.82.
KU also announced the result of B.S. IN Physiotherapy, third year, Annual Examination 2012.
As many as 87 candidates were registered and all of them appeared in the exam. However, 84 passed it making 96.55% pass percentage.
Islami Jamait Talba (IJT) has arranged a self-assessment test for the candidates who want to get admission in Karachi University.
The self-assessment test for BPA, MPA, BBA, MBA, BS Computer Science and BS Biotechnology would be held at the University Club opposite the Karachi University on Wednesday at 11:00am.
The self-assessment test for Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering and Applied Physics would be held at the same venue on 1.30pm. The duration of both self-assessment tests would be two hours each and at the end of the test the candidates would be given result sheet.
The candidates should reach the University Club at 11:00am and 1:00pm, respectively, for the registration.
The University of Karachi was established by an act of Pakistan parliament in June, 1951. The present campus, to which the University shifted in 1959, is spread over 1279 acres of land, situated 12 Km away from the city center.
Today University is recognized as a leading center of learning and research in the Subcontinent and in the Third World. A number of scientists and scholars affiliated with the University are working in important positions both within and outside Pakistan and have won gratitude and acclaim.
One of the institutes of the University has got the distinction of being made the Centre of the Third World Academy of Sciences. Students from several foreign countries are also pursuing for the Masters and Doctorate degrees. Because of high academic and research standards of the University a large number of students from Karachi and other parts of the country apply for admission here.
The University has started evening classes in several departments at BS and Masters Levels and a Directorate of Evening Program was established to control and run Evening Program.
