The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bannu was established in 1990 and since then it is holding the matric and inter exam. A large number of students are registered for the matric and inter exams 2024. The main authoritative bodies of the board are chairman. He manages all the educational affairs of the board while policy making and curriculum development affairs are under the responsibility of ministry of education. BISE Bannu Board is functioning in the KPK province and its objectives are to organize the matric and inter exams in a fair and crystal clear way. It also holds exams for diploma or certificate courses i.e. CT, PTC and OT. The exams are held every year according to its set schedule.
The board has command over four or five district and aspirants of these areas get registration of the board to appear in the final exams. After announcement of final exam’s matric result the board also provides one or two chances to failure students. They can reappear in the exam in respective subjects. Its affiliated areas are District Bannu, District Lakki Marwat, District DI Khan, District Tank, North & South Waziristan Agency.
