Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi

PMAS-Arid Agriculture University is located on Murree Road Rawalpindi, was named after the Saint Pir Mehr Ali Shah.

The university with attractive architecture lies within the center of the twin cosmopolitan city its location ideal for that that the residents of the twins cities.

During the 1970s on orders of the Government of Punjab an agricultural college was established in Rawalpindi with the aim of improvement in agriculture sector of Pakistan. In 1994 that college was upgraded and its status changed from a college to a university. The university is given a second rank by the HEC in the category of Agriculture/Veterinary Universities. It has climbed up to the rank 7 in overall ranking of Pakistani Universities by the HEC.

The university offers a dynamic and stimulating environment to the students. The university prepares the students to take on challenges, to work under adverse conditions, to acquire skills and to enhance their capabilities and potentials.
