(Qeemti Mooti from Saadi ki Hakayat) - Translated by Sir Edwin Arnold.
Our optimistic youth is representative of the nation. Their thoughts are an accumulation, inductions, projections, dogma, interpretations and information. It is most necessary that they know about ethical and moral values. Firstly we can see the fruits of truth. Truth is found in the heart. It flows from soul, the all knowing aspects of each one of us. Soul holds wisdom and awareness’s. Today our society faced many major problems like terrorism, un-employment, corruption, energy crises, and inequality. Unfortunately lack of true, honest and competent leadership Pakistan faces a gigantic crisis. Fake degree holder’s parliamentarians have no interest and have no positive vision, and all these things badly damage the image of Pakistan. Firstly it is necessary to note that who is responsible of all these evils. Why our nation go down in corruption and many other harms. Why our leaders also involved in all harms, and not proficient. Because of lack of fair accountability and violation of rule of law. We all know that telling the truth is an extremely superior habit and it put away us from lot of troubles. It is very compulsory in a present situation at each level and every field of life that we all tell the truth and saved us and our nation. It is most important that we evaluate the past and adopt the good things which are essential for our safety. Here I tell a story of a bad man and we can see that how easily he builds good habits and became an incredibly first-class man.
Once a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and said, “Oh Prophet of Allah, I have many bad habits. Which one of them should I give up first?” The Prophet said giving up telling lies first and always speak the truth. The man promised to do so and went home. At night the man was about to go out to steal. Before setting out, he thought for a moment about the promise he made with Prophet. If tomorrow the Prophet asked me where have I been, what shall I say? If I tell the truth everyone will start hating me and call me a thief. I would be punished for stealing. So the man decided not to steal that night, and gave up this bad habit. Next day he felt like drinking wine, when he was about to do so himself, what shall I say to the Prophet if I asked him what did I do during the day? I can not tell a lie, and if I speak the truth peoples will hate me, because a Muslim is not allowed to drink wine. And so he gave up the idea of drinking wine. In this way, whenever the man thought of doing something bad, he remembered his promise to tell the truth at all times. One by one, he gave up all his bad habits and became a good Muslim and a very good person.
A closer assessment of the groundwork of the assumption that parents have a moral duty to care for their children tackles serious problems in ethical premise. Today when we compare parents role and especially mother role we can see the great error. Mostly modern mothers have no time and they failed to deliver moral and ethical values which are most important at first stage.
Here I write a true story of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, One day he came to his mother and told her that he wanted to go to Baghdad to seek knowledge. His mother brought him forty gold coins which she sewed into a pocket in the armpit of the jacket. His blessed mother gave him the following advised. Obey God’s Commandments, abstain from forbidden things, be always pleased with the decree of providence and always be truthful. After him leaving for Baghdad when his caravan was attacked by a sixty man band of highwaymen. They demanded each member of the caravan to hand over any valuables they had on their person. Sheikh Abdul Qadir (R.A) refused to disobey his mother’s nobel instruction not to lie and when one of the bandits asked him if he had any valuables he volunteered the whereabouts of the coins but the bandit did not Believe him. When the leader of the robbers heard of what Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A) had said he ordered that the stitching be undone and to his utter astonishment the coins were there. The leader of the robbers asked when your money was safe, what compelled you to insist that you had it and say where it was hidden, to which the great.
Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A) replied, I must tell the truth under any circumstances, as I promised to my mother. The leader was reduced to tears and in the spirit of repentance he said, I reneged on my promise to the one who created me. I stole and killed. The highway man took the hand of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani and offered their bay’ah and sought the repentance of Almighty Allah (SWT). Yet the first peoples to offer their bay’ah at his blessed hand were sixty thieves and killers.
If we want to bear fruits it is necessary we must go to roots of harms. Now today we see the extremely negative attitude in some parts of our country. Where the doors of acquiring knowledge are shut on women or unjustified restrictions are imposed upon their acquisition of knowledge. All this against the spirit of Islam and against the true sprit of Quran. It is clear that in Islam both men and women is obligatory to get knowledge equally. What kind of contact will they have the Prophet’s religion because the religion the Holy Prophet (PBUH) brought with him is characterized by knowledge in its entirety? A number of Prophetic traditions also talk directly about knowledge being on all Muslims both men and women without any discrimination.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said "Allah Almighty makes the path to paradise easier for him who walks on it for getting knowledge."
Because knowledge is a light it tells us right path, and tell us good things. It is a need of time we create good moral values among our youth if we want accomplishment. Remember one thing we all responsible for this fault and now until we all not get struggle we can not abstain our goals. These good values are like:
- Quest of knowledge.
- Obligation to truth.
- Honesty in both private and public transactions.
- Impartiality including and distributive kind.
- Respect for the law.
- Humility, modesty.
- Self-denial.
- Frugality and avoidance of ostentation.
- Avoidance of accumulation.
- Charity.
- Uphill struggle.
- Timekeeping.
- Loyalty.
- Commitment to sense of duty.
- Freedom of speech, belief, express and movement.
- Regard for age.
- Loyalty of family, teachers, students and friends.
The crisis we confronted is that of lack of knowledge on the part of far too many persons in our society, and that of inadequate understanding of the humanity surroundings.
Today we need top guidance, and for this we should prepare our youth with top qualities like:
- Honest.
- Competent.
- Inspiring.
- Forward Looking.

- Broad-minded.
- Straightforward.
- Trustworthy.
- Cooperative.

Our youth must have a futuristic vision. In order to root out collective evils such as illiteracy, extremism and corruption they need to develop institute among their position and build up on atmosphere of hope for the cooperative superior of their grassroots. Nations face problems and challenges all the time but only those peoples who take sensible steps by making use of their constructive and positive abilities achieved their goals. The educational institutions and teachers these hidden foundations profoundly influence the behavior and perceptions of a person or institution. They have different perceptions of the same institutions. Our youth feel respected and encouraged to learn and teachers at each level are motivated to teach and create an environment that values their feedback. Our institutions and specially Media should play powerful role and teaches to give them the concept of right and wrong things.
