Few days ago I’ve gone to Jinnah hospital to see a relative who was admitted there. In the hospital, I’ve came to know why the corruption can’t be eliminated from our society? Why Pakistan is on the top in the corruption ratio?
Before that day, I’ve point of view that if we don’t give money as corruption it is possible to stop corruption. But that day my opinion was changed when I saw that a sweeper is much more powerful than a doctor and if you gave her money for anything, she would do. But if someone refuses, she would not do even her duties.
That day I have saw that an old lady was asking for a bench near the bed of her sick daughter to a lady sweeper. As there are benches for every bed but she didn’t had. The sweeper brought a bench for her where she would sit near the patient’s bed. The sweeper demanded for some money and the old lady refused to give her money. She didn’t give her the bench and take it back. When I saw this I’ve go the doctor and told the whole story.
The doctor asked the sweeper about the matter and she refused about it and said that there is no bench available for the old lady. Doctor told the lady that please manages to sit on the bed with your daughter tonight.
I am very much surprised that if the old lady would give 10 or 20 rupees, she would have a bench to sit. You know it describes that corruption is very much important to give. Here one is one important thing is that workers are too much influential on the executives that they always have appropriate excuses of their wrong doings.
This is not only the story of a hospital, you go any governmental offices. There you will find the same situation, if you give money to the subordinates for you work as corruption who are much more powerful than officers because they always have some legal excuses to not to do something. If you refused to give corruption they would intentionally delayed your work.
