Institute of Space and Technology:

The Institute of Space and Technology is a Public University situated in the capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad. The University is offering courses in Aerospace engineering, Avionics Engineering, Electrical engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical engineering, space science and Mathematics. It was established in 2002. It is affiliated with Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, Pakistan Engineering Council, Higher Education Commission (Pakistan) and Washington Accord. The University indulges its alumni in extracurricular activities quite often. Annual events of IST Youth Carnival (IYC) and World Space Week are being religiously organized. The Institute also has privilege to be certified from ISO and it has partnership with reputed international Universities such as: Beihang University and University of Surrey.

The Institute launched iCUBE-1, onboard Dnepr launch vehicle from Yasny launch base, Russia which is Pakistan’s first Cubesat satellite. The research and innovative program being conducted by Institute of Space and technology have contributed greatly to Pakistan’s IT and Space Field.
