VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT (Vice Chancellor)
Institute of Space Technology (IST) is a federally chartered Degree Awarding Institute, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various disciplines of Space Science and Technology. It aims to impart quality education compatible with contemporary requirements and emerging fields of Space Technology, as well as, to train special cadre of scientists/ researchers in multi-disciplinary high-tech areas, to meet specialized needs of space and allied industry. Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals only, for the appoint- ment of Vice Chancellor, Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Pakistan National (Male/Female) with maximum 60 years of
age at closing date of applications.
Applications from dual Nationals will not be entertained.
In case of outstanding / deserving applicant, the age limit can be relaxed by up to one year.
Applicants will be assessed according to their academic and leadership abilities and attainments, as well as evidence of administration, strategic planning, financial management and resource development. A holistic understanding of issues pertain- ing to the higher education sector, including enhancement of pedagogy and quality assurance, research and development, of human & financial resources and constructive social interaction with communities, will be considered as a major asset.
Preference will be given to PhD.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Tenure: The Vice Chancellor shall be appointed for a renew- able tenure of five years on terms & conditions prescribed by the statutes of IST.
Pay: The Vice Chancellor will be entitled to draw "Vice Chancellor Salary Package", as approved by the Chancellor.

CV bearing the recent photograph of the applicant and clearly highlighting all elements of the eligibility criteria and personal attributes with quantifiable evidence, where applicable.
Only first page of all impact factor publications be attached.
Those already in government/semi government service are required to apply through proper channels.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
