Since the establishment of Pakistan, the examinations were conducted of matriculation and intermediate under the guidance of university of Punjab. However the promulgation of the Punjab University acts, it was established in 1954. Bise Lahore board is an autonomous and self-regulatory educational body which conducts the matric and intermediate exams in the supervision of the ministry of education. These are Lahore board, Gujranwala board, sahiwal board, Bahawalpur board, Bise Multan, Bise sahiwal, Bise Sargodha, Bise DGKhan, Bise Rawalpindi, Bise Faisalabad,. Every board has its own authority areas and conducts the annual and supplementary exams in the supervision of ministry of education.  There are five jurisdiction parts of the Lahore boards are Lahore, okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura and nankana sahib.
