- First make Niyyat (intention) of performing namaz by saying that "I intend to perform The 3 Rakat Farz of The Namaz Maghrib”
- Then say the takbir "Allah u Akbar"
- Begin reciting Sana "Subhanaka Allah humma wa bihamdika, wa tabaraka ismuka, wa ta'ala. jadduka, wa la ilaha ghairuk"
- After that say tauz and tasmia; “Auzubillah & Bismillah”
- Then recite Surah Al-Fatiha.
- Then recite any short surah of the Quran.
- Go into the bowing position ‘Ruku’ and say "Subahaana Rabbiyal Azeem" three times
- Stand up straight while saying "Sami Allahu liman Hamidah" and say "Rabbana lakal Hamd" in low or soft voice.
- Go into the 1st sajdah and say "Subahaana Rabbiyal Aa'la" three times
- Now sit up from the first Sajdah in jalsah position it is called the sitting position between the two Sajdahs

- Then stand up for the second rakat of the namaz and say "Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-raheem"
