Islamabad: The adviser to the Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui, on Sunday said that the government is seriously working on implementation of Urdu as the national language in various divisions as well as ministries.

While addressing the “Qaumi Nifaz-e-Urdu Conference – Pesh Raft and Amli Taqazey” at Aiwan-e-Quaid, arranged by the Pakistan Qaumi Zuban Movement (PQZM), he said that Urdu was the language, which summarized the local customs, traditions as well as the freedom movement for independence in the subcontinent.
He furthermore said that “Urdu is our national asset and a symbol of unity.”
Siddiqui moreover said that the adoption of Urdu in the country was authoritative to promote it in all zones of national life.
