The representative of University of the Punjab in a statement said a fact-finding committee was already investigating the reason behind the failure of a large number of students in one particular paper of LLB Part-II, but, according to him there were some other reasons behind the protest.

He said that the actual demand of the students was to take back dismissal decision of a few recently expelled students from the law university, that’s why, they were trying to pressurize the managements through these strategies.

“The management of the university will tremble to any pressure,” he added.

The representative of Punjab University said that the fact investigation committee was working on resolution of the issue according to the law which will take some time so there was no reason to stage a protest demonstration and create issues for the public.

The representative furthermore said that the university had extended the date to apply for supplementary exams by November 25th.

At first, the aspirants staged a sit-in in front of the law college, after which the university management agreed to solve the issue.
