Lahore: Higher Education commission, Pakistan (HEC) has warned the aspirants across the country against getting admission in a college located in Lahore, saying that the administrative body of HEC observed serious irregularities as well as negligence in the academic functions of the institute.

The advertisement published in newspaper reads that:
“HEC has banned the functions of Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS), Lahore from providing more admissions with the effect from April 2017 onwards at all levels & degree programmes,” read an advertisement published in newspapers on Sunday”.
Parents, as parents as well as the general public are advised not to get admission in this institute.
The commission furthermore said that it would not recognize degrees awarded to aspirants by this educational institute from April 2017.
When the management of ICBS was approached media sources to ask for their views on the development, they simply refused to comment.

At the same time, in a message posted on its official website, the ICBS said it was in the “procedure of up gradation according to the commands of regularity bodies”.
It said just new aspirants intakes from April 2017 have been stopped till the completion of “up gradation procedure”, though; existing aspirants would not be affected along with this student alert.
“Their degrees verification as well as attestations by the higher education commission of Pakistan wouldn’t be affected,” the statement said, adding that it was part of the process to stop new admissions till the upgrade procedure is completed according to the instructions by the governing bodies.
