University of Engineering and Technology (UET) - Faisalabad

The University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore enjoys the status of one of the prestigious learning seats for professional students in Pakistan. It has successfully produced a large number of competent graduates who have made valuable contributions towards the over all technological/scientific development of the country. This alma mater broadened its access to the students when the Faisalabad Campus of UET Lahore sprang into being in 2004 to meet the demand of growing and booming industry of Pakistan.

Campus Location

Currently, the Campus is located on East-Canal Road in Faisalabad which is considered to be the hub of all industrial enterprises in the country. The new campus is being raised at khurrianwala-Makkuanna road in recently procured 209 acres of land. The construction work is speedily under process because the perspective plan of the campus is to develop into an independent university in the near future. The campus has the four academic departments, whereas, faculty for the ‘Centre for Advancement of Textile Technology’ has been recruited and the centre will be launched soon.

Programs Offered

UET Faisalabad offers a number of engineering, computer science and engineering and other related programs. Undergraduate degrees available are BSc Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil and Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. At postgraduate level, the campus provides Master of Science and Master of Philosophy degrees in the following fields; Applied Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics and others. The admission is on merit bases with consideration to academic results & entry test like ECAT for Under Graduate programs.

Campus Facilities and Activities

The students have been provided well equipped environment for learning purposes. Modern classes, the advance laboratories and libraries offer massive academic material. Co-curricular activities are conducted so that all-round developments can be taken care of at campuses. Extracurricular activities comprise sports, other academic activities, cultural programs, etc. A skill development platform, Team-work building, leadership development campus club societies develop all this. In all, an enriching experience for campuses, academically as well as developing a sense of one's self.
