Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur

This Medical College was founded in 1970 and it is affiliated with Bahawal Victoria Hospital for clinical training of the students and it have been providing health care facilities to a population of around 12 millions and have been rendering yeoman's service to the country by producing 3282 medical graduates till the year 1997. From its period of infancy this institution has now blossomed into a center of tertiary care and postgraduate courses, i.e. DOMS, DCP, DCH, M.S. (Ortho) and FCPS in Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery and other specialties and for MCPS in Dermatology. The first Principal of this college was Prof. Alamdar Hussain. The first Principal Executive Officer& Dean is Prof. Maj(R) Muhammad Amin.Deputy Dean is Prof. Khurshid Ahmad Quershi. Quaid-e-Azam Medical College is one of Pakistan's greatest medical institutes in regards to its level of scholarship. The institution is certified by PMDC and the college also serves as an undergraduate as well as a postgraduate academic institute with regard to providing medical knowledge. Its first step is taken way back in the year 1971. QAMC is located in the city of Bahawalpur, which is a very vibrant city. It is the hub for medical education and research in southern Punjab. It is also affiliated with Bahawal Victoria Hospital, where students get hands-on clinical training and exposure to real-world medical practices.

Programs Details

QAMC teaches essentially the MBBS, which is a five year broad course to equip all the requirements to practice medicine. The college also offers postgraduate training in such specialties as surgery, medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, and others. Curriculum are well designed with theoretical knowledge and experience blended together at QAMC.
