Eligibility Criteria and Merit Calculation

Completion of a qualifying examination recognized by the College which includes Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or its equivalent with 70% marks in pre-medical subjects. Points awarded for admission are given by the MDCAT score, which contributes to 50% of the merit points, while the 50% balance depends on the marks of HSSC or an equivalent qualification. For non-regular or overseas students, candidates may sit for SAT II in lieu of MDCAT provided that this decision does not violate policy set by the University of Health Sciences.

KMSMC commonly open admissions in August and the admission exercises are done through the UHS online application portal. Each applicant is supposed to provide their records, MDCAT result, and other necessary papers before the deadline. The merit list is normally prepared in the month of October after which interviews for the short-listed candidates are conducted. Those that make the list are offered admission and class begins in December.
