Cecos University Of Information Technology & Emerging Sciences Peshawar

CECOS University specialized in IT and Emerging Science is a government chartered University, which is situated in Peshawar, Pakistan. The foundations of this university were laid by Engr.Muhammad Tanveer Javed in 1986. Initially the set up was so small that it only had five computers and a few student. Sometime later a 1 year Diploma was introduced and it got recognized from the Board of Technical Education (B.T.E) to be implemented in KPK. This institution then got affiliated with the University of Peshawar and became a premier college to offer post-graduation degrees in Computer Sciences. It also got affiliated with the University of London for some courses. The college was upgraded to the status of a University and it currently enrolls more than 3000 students. Degree programs in the disciplines of Computer Sciences, Business Management, Engineering and Biotechnology are now being offered by this prestigious university.

CECOS is privileged to be the first university that offers Post Masters in IT oriented courses in Management Accountancy. CECOS has been recognized by the Government of KPK, for imparting quality and professional education. The university is also recognized by the HEC and has been put in the Category W3 and given the status of a W4 university (the highest category). Pakistan Engineering Council has accredited its Engineering Programs since 2002.

The university has three custom built campuses that comprise of over 12 acres (90 Kanals) of land. The university offers a conducive learning environment and an amiable atmosphere to cater to the academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular needs of the students.
