BS Poultry Admission Highlights

Admission Process:

The admission process to enroll for a Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science begins after the results of Intermediate part-II. The students who are successful in their intermediate part-II exams can apply for this program. The various universities display their admission dates. Students are required to get an application form by visiting the campus or at the official websites. After fulfilling the application form requirements with student documents. They need to submit their application forms to the admission department of the respective university within the due date. The universities publish the dates of various entry tests and interviews if any. The successful candidates then wait for the merit lists.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who have completed their F.Sc. (Pre-medical) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for a BS in Poultry Science. 

Admission Intake

The admission Intake is of two types; yearly or twice a year i.e. fall (September session) or spring (March/April session). The intakes system depends upon the various universities. 

Entry Test:

The entry test is an essential element of every university. Every year thousands of applicants undergo various entry tests as part of the admission procedure. To enroll in the undergraduate disciplines Pre-medical students have to take the MCAT exam. MCAT is an entry test for various public sector universities. Most universities display their merit list with the inclusion of MCAT marks. 

NTS (National Testing Service) is also an entry-level test that is widely accepted at NTS-associated universities. The several NTS-associated universities include; (the University of Management and Technology, the University of Swat, Kinnaird College for Women, and several more). The test consists of various sections covering the general, analytical, mathematics, research, and logical parts.

UVAS (UNIVERSITY OF VETERINARY SCIENCES):

The University of Veterinary Sciences is one of the most acknowledged institutes in Pakistan. It is well known for its veterinary studies. Among other disciplines, UVAS offers a BS degree in Poultry Science. This degree aims to provide a vast knowledge of Poultry which will help in the careers in the Poultry Industry of Pakistan later. 

To enroll for a BS in Poultry Science a student must have completed an intermediate or equivalent with at least 50% of marks. The admission of students at UVAS is highly dependent on merit. The merit lists of the successful applicants are displayed after almost 2-3 weeks of admissions. The closing merit of the first list for the year 2024 was 83.0853% while the second list concluded at 74.6514%. 

THE ISLAMIA UNIVERSITY OF BAHAWALPUR, PAKISTAN:

The Department of Poultry Science at Islamia University is playing a vital role in the education and practical application of poultry education. It is providing opportunities to students from all over Pakistan to enroll themselves in the field of Poultry. 

The admission process begins every year after the Intermediate results are announced. The admissions are granted solely on a merit basis. The students must have a 50% of marks to enroll themselves for a BS in Poultry Science. 

MUHAMMAD NAWAZ SHARIF UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE:

MNSUAM offers a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science under the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. This degree aims to find the challenges faced in the poultry sector of Pakistan. To equip students with the skills and knowledge to solve these issues. 

Admissions are granted on a merit basis to 100 applicants. The eligibility criteria are F.Sc. Pre-medical or equivalent with a minimum of 50% of marks. The students who have done F.Sc. Pre-engineering or agriculture are subject to study essentials of biology to be eligible. 

SHAHEED BENAZIR BHUTTO UNIVERSITY OF VETERINARY & ANIMAL SCIENCES, SINDH
