It’s time to say goodbye to 2014 and welcome to 2015.
Pakistanis greeted New Year with prayers and peace and happiness as 2014 over, but also remembered the Peshawar school massacre.
Due to the tragedy that happened on 16th of December, New Year festivities were negated in the republic. Candle light vigils were detained in different areas of the country.
As timers hit twelve o'clock, irregular aerial gunfire was heard in different areas of Pakistan.
An eye-catching display of firecrackers and sparkles that is ready at Karachi Port to celebrate New Year was also cancelled. New Year’s celebrations in Pakistan are really much gorgeous but this time they should be ever.
As we make our way into 2015, to a year of interrogative, struggle, intentionality, and hard work and, most of all, hope. Some of us have put our personal hopes for the upcoming year down on paper, and we proposal them to you in the lines that follow. Here we go, from A to Z.
Pakistanis hopes and wants for this year are to spend 2015 for peace and prospects. Traditionally a time to make, and maybe straightaway break, New Year’s resolutions as well as rejoice with friends and family, 1 January represents a fresh start for many people all over the world.
Whether 2014 was a great or very bad year for us, we’d like to enjoy hopes are for 2015. Maybe you have some personal goals like to attain this year, or maybe there’s something like to do to see shift within this year.
Actually the Muslims New Year started in the Month of Muharram, but Pakistanis are also to celebrate New Year at the 1st January. Young generations are celebrated New Year on the Mall road with our friends and celebrated in our traditional way.
Wherever you are in the world, happiness and hopes are same for 2015.
