KARACHI: Warish Ranjha, a Pakistani guy surprised us by setting an astonishing example. He explored the entire Pakistan by taking lifts from unacquainted people.
He took 20 days to end his journey across Pakistan. He travelled about 5100 kilometers in which he visited 31 major towns and cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra,, Battgraam, Besham, Dasu, Samnala, Chillas, Jagroth, Shakargoth, Gilgit, Nomal, Rahimabad, Chattyal, Karma, Attock, Khanpur, Tarbela, Taxilla, Gonar, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukker, Hub and Karachi.
Warish said that it has been a remarkable journey of his life. He said that he hitchhiked all over Pakistan and had the finest time of his life with such lovely and unforgettable people. He further added that it was more memorable because he travelled in the month Holy of Ramadan. He ended his journey in Karachi where he felt ill but he said that he has accomplished all his expectations which he has from his journey. Moreover he said that he desired to visit Quetta and Chitral as well but couldn’t make it up, due to his sickness.
According to him, meeting new people teaches a lot. He said that he has seen a lot of strangers. Each person has its own story. Some of them were frustrated, some were sad nevertheless some of them were happy and content from their life too. He also said that these people will definitely leave an impact on him throughout his life.
This journey taught him that the real teacher of life is “The Road”, he gave a message through it that one should TRAVEL; to witness, to feel, to see something incredible, to get out of one’s comfort zone and to see the miracles. He said that it has been hard for him but at the same time it was fun to do such crazy voyage. He gave the message through it that most of us think it is a bad idea to travel with strangers; it’s not safe and all but this is not true. It is certainly not a bad idea to travel with strangers and it shows that trust does exist in our society and it is safe to travel with strangers too.
