Life of a Medical student

An MBBS student needs to study more than an average student. They have busy routines throughout their life. The first and most important thing Biology should be your best friend if you are a medical student. Your 10th grade must have Biology than the intermediate part which is known as FSC pre-medical in Pakistan (a combination of Chemistry, Biology, and Physics). At this stage, the actual misery starts which is MBBS (Bachelors of Medicine& Bachelors of Surgery).

How to get enrolled?

MBBS is the best renowned degree not just in Pakistan but all over world. In Pakistan, pre-medical students have to suffer so much just for getting enrollment in MBBS. Every student of medical science is required to pass an exam that is MDCAT (Medical and Dental College) enrollment exam. However, you are a BDS student or MBBS student this exam should be passed for enrollment. In Punjab this test is conducted by theUniversity of Health Sciences which is located in Lahore.

University of Health Sciences Eligibility Criteria:

Medical students who want to pass the exam of UHS must have to pass MDCAT with 50% marks. However, FSC pre-medical should be passed with 70% marks just to appear in the exam. Moreover, all the medical and dental college students of Punjab should have the domicile of Punjab province.

Role of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has the authority to maintain the official record of medical students either they are MBBS students or BDS students. The PMDC has the responsibility to implement basic rules and regulations for private and government medical institutes. Likewise, this council has the authority to remove and reject members from the council based on their defined standards.
