ANNOUNCEMENT – RECTOR POSITION

National Textile University (NTU), a prestigious federally chartered public sector institution, has been imparting education in the textile field for over six decades. Its vision is to be ranked among the best multi-disciplinary universities in Pakistan, with flagship textile programs of international standards, becoming a center of excellence in textile education and research.

The Rector Search Committee, appointed by the Board of Governors (BOG) of NTU, invites applications for the position of Rector, National Textile University, Faisalabad from highly accomplished and strongly motivated academic administrators. The incumbent will be the Chief Executive of the University, overseeing both academic and administrative fields, and will hold overall responsibility for the organization and administration of the University in alignment with policies set by the Board.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Applicants must be a Professor with a doctorate from an HEC-recognized, reputed university, preferably in the field of Engineering.
  • A distinguished leadership profile in education, professional, and academic administration is essential.
  • Applicants must possess industrial knowledge and experience in the textile field and a comprehensive understanding of issues in higher education on both national and international levels.
  • The incumbent should have a broad understanding of research, scholarship, and creative activities in a university setting, as well as the vision and expertise to advance the university's mission, including human resource development and societal leadership for economic growth.

AGE

  • Applicants should not be older than 65 years as of February 25, 2025.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

  • The Rector will be appointed for a four-year term and will be entitled to a salary package equivalent to a Professor under the Tenure Track System.
  • All other privileges and allowances applicable to Rectors/Vice Chancellors of public sector universities in Pakistan will also apply.
