Punjab Examination Commission is the governing authority for conducting of 5th and 8th exams. Annual papers for both of the classes were conducted by different state authorities and there were many problems in the arrangement of these. Foreign team of scholars were called by the Government of Punjab in the year of 2005.
They gave proposal of establishing newer institution for handling task of the exams of 5th and 8th class. First of all of the students are registered. This step is carried out by their respective schools. Roll number slips to the students are issued by Punjab Examination Commission. Test centers of the students are made throughout Punjab province. They are usually called examination centers. Huge workforce is deployed for taking papers of 5th and 8th class successfully. There are examiners, supervisors and others who work in collaborative ways. Result is prepared afterwards. It is collected district wise. Reports are also prepared on district and provincial level. Punjab Education Commission is given more power according specific law which is called Punjab Examination Commission Act of 2010.
There are lot of professionals wanted in Punjab Examination Commission. Five years relaxation is provided for most of the government jobs. Contract is offered to the candidates who are hired easily. Shortlisted applicants are called for interview. Candidates are hired through question and answer which are conducted by the administrative authorities.
