Punjab Employees Social Security Institution

The Punjab Employees Social Security Institution was established under the West Pakistan Employees Social Security Ordinance 1965.It start functioning on March 1, 1965. It is governmental body working for the benefits of employees of Punjab government. Its departments include medical care, financial care, administrative work, loans for employees, profit on investment, Statutory Reserves, Recovery of advances and cash benefits to secure workers for employees of Punjab government. For employees of PESSI (Punjab Employees Social Security Institution) a Punjab Social Security Hospital is situated in Multan Road, Lahore, Punjab. The hospital provides services to social security card holder’s free health care and also to their families. This hospital is also free for Punjab industrial unit employees and to their families. Its annual budget is set by Government of Punjab. Its Sole purpose of establishment was financial and health care help to the employees. Punjab Employees Social Security Institution hads branches in Shahdrah, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad (East),  Faisalabad (West), Faisalabad (North), Sargodha, Multan, D.G. Khan, Muzafargarh , Bahawalpur, R.Y. Khan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Lahore (Gulberg) ,Lahore (City), Lahore (South), Model Town Lahore, Sahiwal and Islamabad. It’s a very wide network spread all over the province of Punjab. All departments have their own budgets.
