The prison department is providing services to inmates which include: All Jails have hospitals / dispensaries with indoor / outdoor facilities and provide basic health care to the inmates, 24 hours emergency coverage, Blood screening tests for Hepatitis B and C of prisoners in all the Jails / Lockups is being carried out, Construction/renovation work in various Jails is in progress and Specialized combat training is being imparted to watch and ward staff, through FC and Elite Force and moreover Computerized Prison Information Management system has been introduced the  Department  has provided access to information regarding inmates is easily available.
