POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW) invites applications from eligible candidates for a Postgraduate Scholarship to pursue a Master’s (MS) Program in Naval Architecture at NUST Karachi (Fall 2025 intake), followed by a career opportunity at KS&EW.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 26 years

2. Educational Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BE) in one of the following disciplines:

    • Naval Architecture, Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial and Manufacturing

  • The degree must be accredited by PEC or HEC, as applicable.

  • Minimum education level:

    • 16 years of schooling or a 4-year degree after HSSC/A-Level

    • Minimum CGPA: 2.0 out of 4.0

    • OR Minimum Percentage: 55% (if CGPA is not mentioned)

3. Admission to NUST:

  • Candidates must apply online via the NUST admissions portal.

  • Appear in GRE / GAT / GNET / HAT, as per NUST guidelines.

4. Interview Process:

  • Candidates shortlisted by NUST and fulfilling all eligibility requirements will be called for an interview at KS&EW.

  • Final selection will be made by Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd.

Terms and Conditions of the Scholarship

a. Financial Support:

  • Full scholarship includes:

    • Tuition fee

    • Admission processing fee

    • Security deposit

    • Hostel charges (if applicable)

    • Self-medical health insurance

    • Monthly stipend: Rs. 25,000/-

  • All other expenses will be borne by the student.

b. Bond of Service:

  • Selected candidates will be required to serve KS&EW for a minimum of 8 years after completing the MS program.

c. Performance Clause:

  • In case of unsatisfactory academic performance, the scholarship will be terminated immediately.

  • The candidate will be liable to refund all expenses and overheads incurred by KS&EW (up to Rs. 1.5 Million).

d. Existing Employment:

  • A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required from the current employer (if employed).

e. Application Requirements:

  • Candidates must submit their test scores prior to the final interview.

  • Applications must be clearly marked as:
    “Application for MS Naval Architecture Scholarship”

f. Travel & Daily Allowance:

  • No TA/DA will be provided for the interview process.
