Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH) was founded in 1976 and is located in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. This museum is handled and persuaded by Pakistan Science Federation under the guidance of Ministry of Science and technology. It has various areas with different galleries that flourish and provide information about various categories. These categories are Ecology, Physiographic, Paleontology and Gemstones and more. Each gallery expands info about its related field in efficient way to convey every detail about its relevant section. It also has a virtual orientation gallery from which the visitors can have a view of the whole museum without walking around the individual and special gallery.
This museum also arranges special events to display species of unique and different creatures that gain much interest of visitors around the area. A large whale shark was founded by a local fisherman and acquired at Karachi fish harbor by the PMNH which weighted about 16 tons and has a length of 42 feet.
