Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design:

Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design is a public research institute offering specialized degrees in design education. It was established in 2006. It has affiliations with Higher Education Commission and Full Membership of the Association of CUMULUS. It has faculties of fashion and design, fashion, marketing and merchandising, textile designing, gems and jewellery designing, furniture design and manufacture, leather accessories and footwear and ceramic and glass designing. It offers under graduate and post graduate programmes in all of its faculties.

The institute has collaborative academic partnership with many international institutes. In all degree programmes offered by PIFD, the final year students take part in training workshops and students exchange programs in Paris, Borås, Sweden and Thailand. On national level PIFD has affiliations with University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Government of Punjab, PSDF Short Course Program, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Pakistan Leather Competitiveness Improvement Program (PLCIP), The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF), Fashion Central Media Group, Hum TV Network and Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC). Considering the demand of consumer and ever so changing fashions and styles the alumni of PIFD are taught with vision of catering demands of industry and job markets. PIFD offers career focused and comprehensive design education. The field of designing is challenging and need constant learning. PIFD trains its alumni to undertake future challenges with grace and skill. Although, designing is a challenging career but PIFD has produced a number of efficient graduates  Mehdi, Sehr Atif, Nomi Ansari, Saman Arif, Annum Qureshi, Maria B., Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, Kamiar Rokni, Maheen Kardar and Mahmood Hayat.
