Recruitment for Mechanic Constables (Punjab Police Motor Transport Wing)
Applications are invited from male candidates residing in all districts of Punjab for the recruitment of Mechanic Constables (Scale No. 7) with standard allowances for deployment in the Motor Transport Wing, Punjab Police. Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form as per the following criteria:
Eligibility Criteria:
Age:
18 to 28 years
Physical Standards:
Must be physically fit with no disabilities
Domicile:
The applicant must be a resident of Punjab and possess a valid national identity card
Education:
Matriculation from a recognized board
At least a one-year diploma in Automobile/Electrical from a recognized Polytechnic Institute
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in the relevant field, such as petrol/diesel vehicle and motorcycle mechanics, electricians, welding, etc.

Interested candidates can download the prescribed application form from the Punjab Police website: http://punjabpolice.gov.pk.
The application form, along with attested copies of educational certificates, necessary documents, and a processing fee of Rs. 300 (excluding the application form), must be submitted to the Office of SSP Motor Transport, Punjab (Ferozepur Road, Lahore) between March 26, 2025, and April 9, 2025.

No relaxation will be granted in physical standards, education, or age requirements.
Government and semi-government employees must submit their applications through the proper channel along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
Reserved Quotas:
15% for female candidates
5% for minority candidates
10% for ex-servicemen
Ex-servicemen must not be over 40 years of age, with a remaining service duration deduction ensuring their age does not exceed 22 years. They must not have been dismissed on medical or disciplinary grounds.
Selection Process:
Candidates will undergo a skill test, written examination, and interview.
Those claiming additional marks under the police family quota must submit relevant documents (e.g., pension book, retirement order).
All applicants must submit an affidavit declaring that they have no criminal record (FIR or legal case). Failure to provide a valid affidavit will result in disqualification and legal action.
If any candidate is found to have submitted forged or fake documents (educational certificates, domicile, CNIC, medical certificates), their recruitment will be canceled, and legal action will be taken.
Initially selected candidates must pass security clearance and a medical board examination. Candidates with color blindness will be considered ineligible.
Only applicants who meet all requirements and pass the skill test and written exam will be considered for recruitment.
No travel or other expenses will be reimbursed for any stage of the selection process.
The department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage. Legal proceedings cannot be initiated in any court or forum regarding this matter.
