Advertisement for Recruitment of Constables & Lady Constables as Wireless Operators (Punjab Police Telecommunication)

Punjab Police Telecommunication is inviting applications from male and female candidates for the recruitment of Wireless Operators (Scale No. 7) with standard allowances. The vacancies are available in the following districts:

Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Wazirabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Murree, Sargodha, Multan, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan.

Eligible candidates meeting the following criteria can apply using the prescribed application form.

Eligibility Criteria for Constable & Lady Constable Wireless Operators

  1. Age Limit

    • 18 to 22 years

  2. Height Requirements

    • Male Candidates: Minimum 5 feet 7 inches
    • Female Candidates: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches

  3. Chest Measurement (for Male Candidates only)

    • Minimum: 33 inches (expanded) and 34.5 inches (unexpanded)

  4. Domicile

    • Candidates must have a domicile of Punjab and belong to the relevant districts.

  5. Educational Qualification

    • Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in Science OR
    • Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical with at least 50% marks from a recognized board.

  6. Physical Endurance Test

    • Male Candidates: Must complete a 1.6 km race within 7 minutes.
    • Female Candidates: Must complete a 1.6 km race within 10 minutes.

  • Candidates can download the prescribed application form from the Punjab Police website: http://punjabpolice.gov.pk.
  • Submit the duly filled application form along with:
    • Attested photocopies of required documents
    • Application fee of Rs. 300
    • Submit at SSP Telecommunication Office, Punjab, Qurban Lines, Lahore
  • Application Submission Dates: 26 March 2025 – 9 April 2025

Important Instructions for Candidates

  1. No Relaxation:

    • No relaxation will be given in height, chest measurement, education, domicile, or physical endurance tests.

  2. Government Employees:

    • Employees of government or semi-government institutions must apply through proper channels with an official NOC (No Objection Certificate).

  3. Reserved Quotas:

    • 15% quota for female candidates.
    • 5% quota for minority candidates.
    • 10% quota for ex-army personnel (subject to specific age and retirement conditions).

  4. Disqualification Criteria:

    • Candidates dismissed or retired from the armed forces due to disciplinary actions are not eligible.
    • Candidates involved in any criminal case or FIR must provide a sworn affidavit confirming they are not involved in any criminal activity.

  5. Verification & Medical Checkup:

    • Original documents will be verified. Any fake or unverified documents will lead to disqualification and legal action.
    • Selected candidates must pass security clearance and a medical board examination.
    • Color-blind candidates will be declared ineligible.

  6. Recruitment Stages:

    • Physical tests
    • Written examination
    • Interview
    • Candidates will bear all expenses for medical tests or any other process.

  7. Final Selection & Posting:

    • Candidates qualifying for multiple posts must choose one position before the interview and submit an affidavit.
    • The department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage, which cannot be challenged in any court of law.
