Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) - Phase II, Batch VI

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) programme to provide fresh PhD graduates with an opportunity to gain academic experience and mentorship for one year. This initiative enables PhD holders to work at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Federal/Provincial Government postgraduate degree colleges before formally entering the academic job market.
Applications are invited for IPFP Phase-II, Batch-VI in all disciplines.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be a Pakistani or AJK national.
Must be under 40 years of age on the closing date of application.
Must hold a PhD degree from an HEC-recognized university (Pakistani or foreign), obtained within the last two years preceding the advertisement.
Must have published at least two research articles in HEC-recognized or indexed journals.
Unemployed candidates are eligible. However, applicants holding temporary or contract positions may apply but will be required to resign and submit a clearance certificate from their previous employer if selected.
HEC will share the list of successful candidates from the pre-assessment test with recognized institutions. Institutions will then provide their consent to intake suitable candidates based on their requirements.
After securing institutional consent, candidates will undergo four weeks of training under the National Faculty Development Programme (NFDP).
Training will be conducted free of cost by highly reputed international and national trainers.
No stipend will be provided during the training.
HEC will facilitate the placement of IPFP Fellows at HEIs for one year.
A fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 150,000/- will be provided by HEC for 12 months.

Deadline: April 15, 2025, by 16:00 hours (4:00 PM).
Applicants must upload:
HEC-attested PhD degree or equivalence certificate issued by the HEC Equivalence Section.
Deposit slip of Rs. 3000/- (non-refundable) for the application processing fee, paid in favor of Director Finance, HEC:

Printed hard copy of the application form with required documents, a photograph, and the original fee deposit slip.
Note: The hard copy must be properly bound and flagged; otherwise, it will not be entertained.
Eligible applicants must appear in the mandatory pre-assessment test.
Test Date: Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Applicants securing at least 50% marks will qualify for the NFDP training.
Successful completion of NFDP, along with an evaluation test, is mandatory for placement at HEIs as an IPFP Fellow.
Selected candidates must submit all required documents before training begins.
HEC reserves the right to reject applications at any stage in case of any discrepancy or falsification of records.
