Government Islamia college is one of the leading educational institutes of the Punjab. Government Islamia college civil lines Lahore was established in 1892 by anjuman-i- hamayat-I Islam. The main motive of the government Islamia College provides the quality education to the Muslims of the northern part of sub-continent. The name of the college attributed to the Hindu leader sawami Dayan ad sarasvati, founder of the Arya samaj moment.  The college was established at railway road and later some graduate class was organized in the new building in civil lines. Government Islamia college arranges the classes for first and second shift for the convenience of the students. The Govt Islamia civil lines admission are open to august and September. Students can get admission at every level for FA, FSC, ICS, I com, BA, BSC, B.com, BS admission.  MA, MSC master level degree admissions are also open to all qualified candidates. The selection will be done on the merit basis. The successful candidates also appear in interview test.
