?? Position Details

?? Eligibility Criteria

Educational / Professional Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an HEC-recognized local or international institute.

Preference will be given to candidates holding Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, PMP).

Experience

Minimum 12 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in any of the following areas:

IT Operations

IT Production Support

IT Systems Support

IT Service Management

Preferably within the Banking and/or Financial Services sector.


?? Key Expertise and Knowledge Areas

Leadership in large-scale IT operations, including service delivery, incident management, system support, and uptime optimization.

In-depth understanding of Core Banking Systems (CBS) and allied applications, including integration, data migration, and production support.

Knowledge of information security practices, regulatory compliance, and audit preparedness.

Proven ability to lead automation, standardization, and operational process improvement.

Strong analytical skills with capability to handle complex incidents and minimize system downtime.

Competence in delivering timely and accurate MIS/data reports.

Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management at all levels.


?? Main Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operations of core and non-core banking systems across HO and branches.

Lead incident resolution processes across complex technology environments; ensure minimum mean time to recover (MTTR).

Drive automation and process improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and compliance.

Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistent service delivery.

Collaborate across the IT Group and with business stakeholders to align IT operations with strategic initiatives.

Partner with Information Security, Application, and Architecture teams to ensure end-to-end operational readiness.

Manage user access controls, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational discipline.

Lead a high-performing team; implement talent development, succession planning, and cultivate a service-centric culture.

Ensure adherence to SBP guidelines, regulatory inspections, and audit compliance.

Monitor and evaluate Division performance, provide direction to Unit Heads and Team Leaders.

Formulate and execute annual training and development plans across the Division.

Lead cross-functional transformation projects and strategic initiatives.

Contribute actively to IT governance, strategy sessions, and senior-level discussions.

Perform any additional duties assigned by the Chief Technology Officer.
